Dear Concord Middle School Families,
It’s official !! Summer vacation has come to an end and we are embarking on the 2020-2021 school year. Whether you have a new student entering our school or you’ve been with us for many years, the CMS Parent Teacher Group (PTG) would like to welcome you all into our special community.
Although this is not how we all imagined our return to school to be, please be assured that our PTG executive board officers have been busy over the summer, planning for the year and searching for ways to support our amazing staff, students and CMS community. Our virtual activities for this unprecedented year are sure to be engaging and fun, and will keep us feeling like the tight-knit community we are.
Although this year will look different, our goals remain unchanged: to support our school and to enrich our children’s education. We help provide programs and experiences that positively impact our students and staff and inspire them to achieve great things! In addition, we hope to leave a legacy by thoughtfully using the money that we all work together to raise.
We cannot do this alone! We invite you to become active in our PTG by taking one or more of these three steps:
- Attend our virtual meetings, held on the 3rd Friday of each month at 10:15am. Our first meeting is scheduled for Friday Sept 18, with a Zoom link to be sent out as the date gets closer.
- Consider volunteering to help out with a PTG event or project. Right now, we urgently need someone to help coordinate publication of our annual student directory, plus a few people to work on teacher appreciation projects, fundraising, spirit wear and student assemblies throughout the year. Other opportunities are available all year long. Click here to see a listing of volunteer projects with signup sheets for each one.
- Consider supporting us with a financial donation made at the CMS PTG website. The PTG relies exclusively on parent donations to fund our events, student enrichment programs and faculty support projects.
With your ongoing support, our PTG can continue to provide funds for student assemblies, back to school welcome gifts, student planners, complimentary school directories and much more! In the meantime, keep an eye out for our weekly newsletter or reach out to us via email at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
CMS is a special school with a long history of success, and we are happy that you are part of it. We look forward to meeting all of you and having a great year together!
